Editor, Times-Union: Here is a thought, several candidates have discussed raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour. Most people that make less than $15 are working at service jobs, entry-level jobs, people that didn’t finish high school, no diploma, or maybe even the military. Many small businesses may not be able to afford both health care and $15 an hour for their employees. Something has to give. I believe that these employees will be reduced to part time with no benefits. Could this happen? Remember when Obama care became law, some employers reduced hourly employees to 25 hours, so the company didn’t have to pay for health insurance. If the employment had a choice between health care for their families or $15 an hour for 25 hours a week. Which one would he pick? Paul Fribley Warsaw
