Milton George Salomon, 82, of Warsaw, passed away at 7:51 a.m. Feb. 23, 2012, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
On Feb. 21, 1930, he was born to Erwin and Frida Huonker Salomon in Pittsburgh, Pa. On June 5, 1954, he married Pauline J. Schneider, who survives.
He served in the U.S. Army in Japan from 1948-52. He served two years along with his wife as a short-term missionary in Kinshasa Zaire with Mission Aviation Fellowship. He was co-owner of S.O.S. Electronics Inc., Pittsburgh, where he also was an adult Sunday school teacher and chairman of Christian Business Mens Committee.
Since moving to Indiana in 2001, he and his wife have attended Pleasant View Bible Church, Warsaw.
Also surviving are six children: Jeanne Commer, Wichita, Kan.; Joe Salomon, Jenks, Okla.; Linda Ropp, Orlando, Fla.; Jon Salomon, Stewartstown, Pa.; Karen Hueni, Bremen; and Julie Thompson, Winona Lake; 14 grandchildren: Rachel, Jennifer, Michael, Kyle, Chris, Casey, Ben, Emily, Kaley, Hannah, Nicole, Caitlin, Courtney and Ethan; a sister, Elsie Collum; and two brothers, James and Ronald Salomon.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant View Bible Church, Warsaw, with Pastor Michael Hontz officiating. Private burial was at Marion National Cemetery.
