Miller, Morgan Place At State Swimming MeetINDIANAPOLIS – Warsaw’s Brenna Morgan and Wawasee’s Paige Miller capped off their high school careers with medals at the IHSAA Girls State Swimming Championships Saturday. Morgan was sixth in the 50 and 100 freestyle races, and Miller was sixth in the 500 freestyle and eighth in the 200 freestyle. Warsaw head coach Tony DeBrota said “while we didn't get anyone else to place, it was an improvement from last year. “We need to maintain the work ethic and positive attitude for next year. “This was a great season, the best I've been a part of. While there is a sense of uncertainty with Brenna graduating, I’m confident that the other girls will work together help keep this team improving,” DeBrota said. The boys take over the swimming spotlight beginning Thursday with the sectional preliminaries. Wawasee will be at the Concord Sectional, while Manchester and Tippecanoe Valley will compete in the Warsaw Sectional.
