MISHAWAKA - Mark Lantz, of Milford, has been named to head the athletic department at Bethel College.
Lantz holds and undergraduate degree from Taylor University, an MBA degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and has been successful in the local business field the past 15 years.
"I have been looking for the opportunity in a small christian college environment to utilize my God-given gifts, mentor young adults to grow in Christ and fulfill my passions in sports and leadership," said Lantz.
In the coming weeks, Lantz will meet with the athletic staff at Bethel College and move into his new position.
Lantz replaces Mike Lightfoot as Director of Athletics. Lightfoot will remain at Bethel College, where he will continue to coach the men's basketball team and where he has been appointed Director of Athletic Development for the college's Institutional Advancement Office.
