MILFORD – A Milford woman’s stab wounds were likely self inflicted, according to Milford Police Department personnel.
According to MPD Lt. Travis Marsh, Chantel Drake, 41, Camp Mack Road, Milford, sustained a self-inflicted stab wound Tuesday night.
Marsh confirmed  this morning that Central Dispatch received a 911 call at 8 p.m. Tuesday from Just-N-Time, a Milford bar, that Drake had sustained a gun shot wound.
After authorities had arrived, it was determined that it was not a gunshot wound, but a self-inflicted stab wound that had occurred at a previous location, Marsh said.
Drake was transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Tuesday night, according to Chad Hill, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department public information officer.
Hospital officials this morning said Drake is not listed in the hospital directory.
The investigation is still pending.
Milford Police Department, KCSD, Multi-Township EMS and Indiana Conservation Department assisted at the scene.
