Metzger Trucking recently did an event at Milford Middle School.
Amy Evans, a teacher at Milford, contacted the trucking company. Evans is trying to make learning science and math interesting to her students.
Mike and Matt Metzger took one of the semis and a trailer to the school. Students were told about the trucking industry and truck driving as a career. They were also taught about how math and science are involved in trucking (such as the math involved in keeping a legal logbook and how to figure stopping distance based on the truck and trailer’s weight, etc).
More than 75 students took part in the demonstration and were able to explore the new truck.
