Milford Public Library To Settle Patrons' Fines With Food

Posted
MILFORD - April is "Food for Fines" month at the Milford Public Library.

For each $1 in fines a patron has, they may bring in a food item to be donated to the local food pantry. The fine will then be taken off their account. Here are a few things that the food bank needs: breakfast foods: cereal, cereal bars; canned fruits, meats, soups, box dinners, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo.

If a patron wants to pay their fines and contribute to the food bank, the lbirary will negotiate the fine appropriately.
