There will be special events on Wednesdays in June and July. See the library Web site www.milford.lib.in.us for more details.
Our first special event for Summer Reading Clubs will be Food and Fun Day. It will be June 11 at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 or 2:30 p.m. You must sign up and there is a limit of 15 participants per session. The theme for the Food and Fun day will be Western. So giddy up to the library Wednesday for the first day of sign-up.
Any teen who registers for the teen reading club by June 21 can enter the drawing for the IPod Shuffle give-away.
Teen events (students who have finished fifth grade through 12th grade) will be on Thursday afternoons at 2 p.m. starting June 12. Everyone who joins us on the 12th will have the opportunity to participate in a hula hoop contest. You can bring your own hula hoop, or use one of ours. We will also stuff a telephone booth with teens. How many teens can we squeeze into a phone booth? Let's find out. Also, we will be making our own banana splits in our 1950s diner before going home. Bring your Wawasee student ID card to join.
The Knitting Club will meet June 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the library meeting room. There will be a demonstration about making items by felting. See the adult desk for a material list.
