MILFORD – A Milford man was arrested Monday afternoon after being pulled over by the town’s marshal, who discovered two meth labs inside the man’s car.
Troy Richard Stephenson, 47, of 913 N. Old Ind. 15, Milford, was pulled over around 4:30 p.m. on Old Ind. 15, near Milford, by Town Marshal Rich Miotto. During the stop, Miotto said he learned Stephenson was driving while suspended, and wanted on two outstanding warrants out of DeKalb County.
After Miotto placed Stephenson into custody, the lawman found two one-pot methamphetamine labs inside Stephenson’s car, Miotto said.
Miotto then called in the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force and the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab team to process the find.
Stephenson was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on preliminary charges of felony manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and misdemeanor driving while suspended. He is being held on a $10,000 bond.
Stephenson‘s arrest marks the 57th meth-related arrest this year in Kosciusko County, according to statistics provided to the Times-Union by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
