Milford Man Airlifted To Hospital After Crash In Nappanee

NAPPANEE – A Milford man was airlifted to a hospital after being ejected from the vehicle he was a passenger in Sunday at the intersection of North CR 625W and West CR 800N, Nappanee.
At approximately 4:27 a.m. Sunday, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to a personal injury accident at the intersection of North CR 625W and West CR 800N, Nappanee.
Levi Plank, 27, Bremen, said he was driving a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country northbound on North CR 625W. He didn’t maintain staying in his lane of traffic with the offset of the road. Plank drove off the road and hit two NIPSCO guy wires. After hitting the guy wires, Plank lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle rolled over several times in a crop field and came to land on its tires.
Plank had an internal injury to his shoulder/upper arm.
Passengers Caleb J. Plank, 23, Bremen, had injuries to the eye and head.
Benjamin L. Hochstetler, 30, West CR 1000N, Milford, was ejected from the vehicle, suffered injuries all over his body and was airlifted to a hospital.
Plank was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 4:59 a.m. Sunday with a $700 preliminary bond.
Estimated damage of the accident was $10,000-$25,000.
