Milford FD Fundraiser SundayMILFORD – The 30 volunteers who run the Milford Fire Department are gearing up for their annual BBQ chicken fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the firehouse.
The firemen will be cooking up 1,200 chicken halves and cost is $7 per half. Proceeds go toward ongoing expenses, including upgrading and replacing old equipment.
The annual fundraiser has been going on for more than 75 years and is the department’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
The firehouse is at 214 S. Main St., Milford.
Tickets can be purchased from any fireman, or at Duncan Max Motor Service and Jakes Service Station.
The department uses this fundraiser to kick off National Fire Safety Awareness Week, which begins Sunday.
