Milford Eyes Funds For Sewer Project

MILFORD - A $40,000 additional appropriation towards a sewer separation project was considered by the Milford town council Monday.

The council also discussed providing $1,959.60 for the Milford police department. The money will be used to purchase three new radios.

The appropriations will be voted on at the next town meeting Sept. 14.

An earlier Milford town hall meeting was held at 9 a.m.

A grant writer and architect to informed prospective contractors about the pre-bidding practices and guidelines for the construction of the New Beginnings Daycare, clerk-treasurer Charlotte Siegfried said.

The $450,000 grant for the day care is federally written by the Indiana Department of Commerce.

Contractors present at the meeting included representatives from W.J. Carey Construction, Milestone Construction, R.E. Crosby and Son and Hunter Construction. Two subcontractors also were present at the meeting.
