SYRACUSE – Mildred Hoover, 86, Syracuse, passed away Sept. 22, 2014, at her residence. She was born Nov. 12, 1927, in Goshen, to Noble and Fay Burson Ringler. She was married to Ray Hoover, who died in 2001. She was a lifelong area resident. She worked for several local businesses throughout her life, and she was a homemaker. She attended Milford Brethren Church. Surviving are four daughters: Sue Brown and Sandy (and spouse Marion) Lilly, all of Syracuse; Kelly (and spouse Jeff) Rhodes, Delphi; and Fay England, Leesburg; one son, Noble Hoover, Arizona; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one brother, Mike Ringler, Goshen. She was also preceded in death by a son, Steven Hoover, and three sisters. Services will be at noon Thursday at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse. Burial is in Syracuse Cemetery.
