Mike Felker Running For U.S. Congress District 3Mike Felker announced he will be seeking election to U.S. Congress District 3.
U.S. Rep. Jim Banks currently represents District 3 but Banks announced recently he is running for U.S. Senate as Sen. Mike Braun is running for Indiana governor.
In a news release over the weekend, Felker said he has established his committee, Felker for Congress.
A native Hoosier who lives and works in Warsaw, Felker is currently employed as a maintenance technician for 17 years in the orthopedic industry. After retiring from 20 years in the U.S. Army National Guard with two combat deployments in Operation Iraqi Freedom, he is excited to run for public office to continue serving Indiana and the country, the release states.
Felker, a Republican, believes the people of District 3 deserve a congressman who is practical and unconventional. His news release states he is a candidate who aims to deliver results for the people of Indiana and the United States. He’s looking forward to campaigning throughout District 3 and working with the members of the community and its leadership. Felker believes the Constitution derives its power not from the government, but by the people themselves.
These are a few issues of importance and focus of his campaign:
• Community days to encourage participation within our neighborhoods and communities.
• Fight for Indiana values.
• Organize the gun community.
The release concludes, “Mike Felker is a veteran and blue-collar worker running for Congress District 3. He knows that together we can lead Indiana and take back our country.”
