Middleton Receives Grant

On Dec. 11, chapter DA, Philanthropic Educational Organization, met to honor Linda Middleton at a brunch.

Middleton was a recipient of one of the international organization's educational philanthropies, Program for Continuing Education grant. This grant is available through the international organization for women who have been out of school for at least 24 consecutive months during their adult life.

Middleton was sponsored by Chapter DA, Warsaw. She was awarded the grant last spring to assist her in completing her bachelor's degree in business administration at Indiana Institute of Technology.

Middleton, a North Manchester resident, is employed by Custom Engineered Wheels of Warsaw.The PEO Sisterhood, founded Jan. 21, 1869, at Iowa Wesleyan College, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, is a philanthropic and educational organization interested in bringing women increased opportunities for higher education. There are approximately 6,000 local chapters in the United States and Canada with nearly 250,000 active members.

Chapter DA was organized in Warsaw in 1973.
