Fox 28 WSJV-TV Sports Director Dean Huppert tees off Monday afternoon at South Shore Golf Course during the annual Warrior Open. The event is conducted each year to raise funds for Wawasee High School athletic programs. Huppert's trip from South Bend for the outing was worthwhile. He won a gift certificate for sinking the longest putt on hole number 18. Last year's event raised $16,000. Wawasee Athletic Director Mary Hurley said today that while the numbers have not been tallied, this year's event boasted a record number of participants. Results from the event are on page 9A in today's edition. Photo by Gary Nieter, Times-Union
