CULVER - Christopher Miclot, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Miclot, Warsaw, is the recipient of the Gordon Graper Award and the 1st Lt. Andrew K. Stern Scholarship.
The Gordon Graper Award was established in 1976. This award is presented to a member of the Culver crew, who by vote of the team, is considered to have made the greatest contributing to rowing.
The Stern Scholarship, established in 2006, honors Andrew K. Stern, who died from injuries sustained in fighting near Fallujah, Iraq. This scholarship is awarded each year to a senior member of the Academies rowing squad who best demonstrates dedication, honesty, joyfulness, respect and integrity.
Miclot is a four-year member and captain of the varsity rowing crew, president of the Community Service Council, unit commander of Infantry Company C, Honor Council member, executive officer of the Exhibition Drill Team and a Honor Guard member.
