Michelle Lee Blankenship, 43, South Bend, passed away at 7:16 p.m. Jan. 4, 2015, at her residence.
She was born March 29, 1971, in  La Porte, to James E. and Mary L. Lashure White.
Living most of her life in Westville, she moved to Warsaw in 2000. She worked for various restaurants as a manager, most recently King Gyro’s Restaurant in South Bend. She was a happy, loving person, who never met a stranger.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Anthony Lewis, Silver Lake, and Travis James (and spouse Brittany) Lewis, Mentone; her parents, Silver Lake; four sisters: Phyllis (and spouse Lawrence) Metcalf, La Porte; Teresa Lambert, Silver Lake; Jessica (and spouse Danny) Thompson, Mentone; and Barbara Miller, Tennessee; one brother, Wayne “Marty” (and spouse Julie) White, Mentone; three grandchildren: Connor, Nyla and Jackson Lewis; her nephew, Ty Wayne Brown, Silver Lake; and several extended family members. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arthur and Edna White and Wayne and Audrey Lashure.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Joe Lambert officiating. Burial is at a later date.
Calling is from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel.
