Michael Lin Pearson, 55, Warsaw, passed away at 1:35 p.m. May 2, 2014, at his residence. He was born Jan. 26, 1959, in Union City, Ohio, to Elvan Louis and Donna Imogene “Gene” Willis Pearson. On May 30, 1981, in Muncie, he married Marcie Kathleen Collins, who survives in Warsaw. He was a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 14 years. He graduated from high school in Fort Recovery, Ohio, then attended Ball State University, Muncie, and received his bachelor’s degree. He taught school for a number of years at Anderson Community Schools, Fairfield Community Schools in Goshen and Tippecanoe Valley Schools in Akron. In 1996 he commenced employment with Walmart Corp. and at the time of his passing he was the senior divisional facilitator for talent development. He will also be lovingly remembered by his son, Drew Pearson, Warsaw; two grandchildren, Sophia May and Carter Allen Pearson, both of Warsaw; two sisters, Kathy (and spouse Autley) Newton, Loranger, La., and Penny Pearson, Columbus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Pastor Joe Lampton officiating.
