NAPPANEE - Michael L. Newcomer, 58, Bremen HealthCare, formerly of Nappanee, died unexpectedly at 2:50 p.m. March 19, 2009, in Bremen Community Hospital in the emergency room of natural causes.
He was born Oct. 30, 1950, in Bremen, to Jim and Helen Heminger Newcomer.
He was a lifetime area resident. He graduated from Nappanee High School in 1968. He had worked at Newmar Corp. He was a member of the Nappanee Sons of American Legion.
Surviving are a daughter, Tina (and spouse Brent) Green, Nappanee; a son, Daniel (and spouse Tina) Newcomer, Nappanee; a stepdaughter, Stacie (and spouse Tim) Ganshorn Slone, Etna Green; his mother, Nappanee; two brothers, Terry (and spouse Mary Sue) Newcomer and Larry (and spouse Kay) Newcomer, all of Nappanee; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Union Center Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services at the church.
