SYRACUSE – Michael Joseph Brown, 60, of North Webster, passed away Sept. 28, 2011, in his residence.
He was born April 6, 1951, in Erie, Pa., to Nelson and Patricia Hocker Brown. On July 11, 2010, he married Darla Gawthrop, who survives.
He lived all of his life in the Elkhart, Goshen and Kosciusko County area. He worked in the recreation vehicle industry for many years. He was a member of North Webster American Legion Post 253. He loved life, music, dancing, his family and always had a smile on his face.
Also surviving are a daughter, Natalie Penn; a son, Travis Pillow; a stepdaughter, Deanne Blankenship; a stepson, Stoney Gawthrop; six grandchildren; three sisters: Cheri (and spouse Ron) Stauffer, Goshen; Patricia Gay, Milford; and Janet Michael, Midland, Mich.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458 E. CR 1000N, Syracuse, officiated by Pastor Michael Kelly from the Word of Truth Church.
Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and two hours prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. *****
