Michael E. Scott, 52, of Warsaw, died at 11:45 a.m. April 9, 2011, in his residence. 
He was born Oct. 21, 1958, in Peru, to David L. Sr. and Valentine Tschiniak Scott, who survive in Peru. On Nov. 20, 1982, in Casper, Wyo., he married Cynthia France, who survives.
He was a native of Peru, formerly lived in Casper and moved to Warsaw in 1987. He graduated from Peru High School in 1978.
He owned Hoosier Body Shop, Warsaw, for 21 years. He formerly worked at Classic Car, Warsaw, as a auto body repair technician, where he did work for Hank Williams Jr., the vehicle that starred in the movie “Christine” and also the Cadillac in the movie “Cocoon.” He was an instructor for Heartland Vocational College, Wabash, and for Lakeland Christian School Drivers Education Program and the Warsaw Community School Drivers Education Program. He participated in the Cooperative Education program as a sponsor and workplace site for Warsaw Community High School. 
He was a member of Warsaw Moose Lodge and the National Rifle Association. He attended Pleasant View Bible Church, Warsaw. His hobbies included motorcycles, canoeing, camping, collecting hornet’s nests, trial riding and car shows. 
Also surviving are a daughter, Betsy (and spouse Jeremiah) Paseka, Monroeville, Pa.; a son, Nick Scott, Warsaw; two sisters, Tammy (and spouse Jeff) Hierholzer, Santa Fe, Ind., and Stephanie Oliver, Peru; two brothers, Charlie (and spouse Cathy) Scott, Arcadia, Fla., and David Jr. (and spouse Melody) Scott, Virginia Beach, Fla.; his grandmother, Anna Tschiniak, Peru; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Scott Jr.; two grandfathers, Jacob Tschiniak and Paul F. Scott; and a grandmother, Eleanor Scott.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Ryan Petgen officiating. Burial will be in private in Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru. 
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
