ROCHESTER - Michael D. Callahan, 54, of 2209 Poets Drive, Rochester, died at 7:15 a.m. June 5, 2009, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.

He was born Oct. 26, 1954, in Flint, Mich., to David and Joanne Wise Callahan. On Oct. 6, 1979, in Rochester, he married Karen Jackson, who survives.

He graduated from East Noble High School in 1972, and Alma (Mich.) College in 1976.

He was in sales for the past six years at Rochester Homes Inc. He was a member of the Manitou Moose Lodge 1107, and the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks 2120, both in Rochester.

Also surviving are two daughters, Kristy (and spouse Noel) Christopher, Chicago, and Amy Callahan, Indianapolis; his mother, Joanne, Rochester; his father, David (and spouse Suzanne) Callahan, Fort Wayne; a sister, Keri (and spouse Phillip) Jacobs, Wolcottville; two brothers, Larry (and spouse Sandy) Callahan, Fowler, and Dan (and spouse Cindy) Callahan, Fremont.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the residence of Kenny and Julie Anderson, 2807 Goose Pond Road, Rochester.

Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, is in charge of arrangements.
