BUCHANAN, Mich. – Merl Jackson, 68, passed away Feb. 12, 2013, in Lakeland Community Hospital, Niles, Mich. He was born Dec. 20, 1944, in Silver Lake, to John F. and Ocie Stanley Jackson. Surviving are two daughters, Theresa Speer and Kathy Zonyk; a sister, Imogene Caudill; seven grandchildren, including Raven Roberts; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at 255 N. Philip Road, Niles. Hoven Funeral Home, 414 E.
