Mentone Fly-in Planned Saturday

MENTONE – The Lawrence D. Bell Aircraft Museum is hosting the Rotors over Mentone helicopter fly-in Saturday.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting. The museum is at 210 S. Oak St., Mentone.
A highlight will be the fly-in of a Bell Huey, while other helicopters will be on site and the museum will be open for tours.
Helicopter rides will be available starting at 11 a.m., provided by Goshen Helicopter Inc.
“Mr. Bell 47,” Joey Rhodes, president of the Bell 47 Helicopter Association Inc., will present two shows, “The Bell 47 Legacy” and “The Whirlybirds.”
Rhodes is the author of “How to Buy and Sell a Helicopter” and star of “The New Whirlybirds.”
Barbecue pork and hot dog sandwiches and other items will be available for lunch.
The fly-in is free but donations for the museum will be accepted.
The Lawrence D. Bell Aircraft Museum Inc. is a nonprofit organization operated by volunteers.
