Mentone Elementary fourth-grade classes recently participated in a flag education program sponsored by the Fulton County American Legion Post 36. The American Legion performed a flag-folding ceremony and the students studied flag etiquette. Students were given a test and asked to write an essay about what the flag meant to them. Hannah Engstrand and Jacob Davis were the winners. They received several gifts and a check for $50. Pictured are James Carpenter, Ron Fearow, Jacob Davis, Monica Clennon, Hannah Engstrand, and her parents Mr. and Mrs. Terry Engstrand, and Jon Lybarger.
