The proposed 2006 budget will be adopted Sept. 12 at 6 p.m. before the start of the council's regular monthly meeting.
The total for the estimated 2006 budget is $388,291. The budget includes $337,341 for the general fund; $32,650 for motor vehicle highway fund; $10,000 for local roads and streets; $2,800 for the cemetery; and $5,500 for cumulative capital improvement fund.
Members of the council present included Tim Croy and Mark Hughes. Jack Simpson was not present.
