Kosciusko County was booming Friday night - literally.
Residents from all around Kosciusko County called the Kosciusko County Central Dispatch Center Friday night to report hearing several loud booms.
The noise was coming from the Mentone Airport, where a pyrotechnics convention was being held. The convention is an annual event, but officials believe that low cloud cover may have cause the sound to travel farther than in years past.
