A Warsaw woman was taken to the hospital after her vehicle struck a utility pole Monday morning. According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department crash report, officers responded to a single-vehicle collision around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of South Main and West Prairie streets in Leesburg and were advised there were injuries. On arrival, officers found a vehicle – driven by Tammy M. Honeycutt, 41, West Market Street, Warsaw – with heavy front-end damage and Honeycutt was still in the driver’s seat being tended by medics. Honeycutt’s daughter advised officers that her mother was a diabetic and it appeared she was having medical issues at the time of the collision. Evidence at the scene suggested that Honeycutt was northbound on Ind. 15 in Leesburg and left the west side of the roadway striking a fence, a parked truck and a NIPSCO utility pole before coming to rest in a yard about a block away. Honeycutt was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital and treated for minor injuries.
