Many business and civic leaders throughout the Kosciusko County area went missing for several hours on April 16 to "serve time" for Jerry's Kids during MDA's recent lock-up event in Warsaw at Noa Noa.
"Jailbirds" agreed to serve time between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. They were "arrested" by the sheriff and a limo driver at their places of employment and taken to "jail" at Noa Noa. When the bandits arrived, they were all found guilty of having a big heart, had their mug shots taken, were placed behind the bars of MDA's mock jail and served some delicious jailhouse grub all while having fun at the "Help and Hope" Kosciusko County Lock-Up.
An estimated $91,917 in "bail' was raised by 169 jailbirds to benefit the individuals in Northeast Indiana living with muscle disease Centennial Wireless donated phones for the "bandits to use to call family, friends and coworkers in order to raise their "bail" which was set at $1,300.
