McDonald’s Offering Meals To 1st Responders, Healthcare WorkersThe Warsaw McDonald’s will be giving out free “Thank You” meals to first responders and healthcare workers starting today through May 5.

McDonald’s corporate announced Tuesday participating restaurant locations would be doing this as a “small token of our appreciation.”

All three Warsaw McDonald’s locations – 315 N. Detroit St., 2473 Jalynn St. and 3611 Commerce Drive – are participating in the program, a manager confirmed.

To get the free meal, any first responder or healthcare worker will need to show a valid ID and then can choose from the following breakfast options: Egg McMuffin, chicken McGriddle or bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. All breakfast meals come with hash browns on the side, and workers can pick any size soft drink, hot coffee or tea.

For lunch or dinner, the menu available will be a double cheeseburger, six-piece chicken McNuggets or Filet-O-Fish sandwich, which comes with a small french fries and any size soft drink, hot coffee or tea.

McDonald’s asks only one meal per day, and first responders or healthcare workers must order the food in the drive thru by simply asking for their “Thank You meal,” choosing their food choices and showing their badge or employment ID.

The “Thank You” meal will seem similar to a Happy Meal, except it doesn’t come with a toy – it will come with a thank-you note expressing McDonald’s appreciation for what they are doing to keep communities safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
