I understand the McCain campaign went the celebrity comparison route, choosing a picture of Obama, followed by pictures of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton, much to the chagrin of Mrs. Hilton who apparently has donated to the McCain campaign. Wonder why she has not asked for a refund, but perhaps she is as vacuous as her daughter?
It is interesting to wonder why the campaign manager didn't come up with celebrities as America Ferrara or Hayden Panettiere, for instance, but then that would not have served their dark purpose. They must think the electorate has the discerning powers of a 12-year-old - and they may be on to something at that. If cheap shots work, then we must deserve the results.
