NORTH MANCHESTER - The Manchester College Symphonic Band will present "A Concert of Masterworks" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The 30-member band, at the baton of Suzanne Gindin, will perform in Cordier Auditorium on the North Manchester campus. The concert is free; reservations are not necessary.
The program includes "Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral" by Richard Wagner, "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night" by Elliot Del Borgo and "Cajun Folk Songs" by Frank Ticheli.
Other pieces are "Overture to Candide" by Leonard Bernstein, "First Suite in E-flat" by Gustav Holst, "Lincolnshire Posy" by Percy Graninger, "Panis Angelicus" by Cesar Franck and "Armenian Dances, Part 1" by Alfred Reed.
