Maxson Appointed Executive Director Of Institutional Effectiveness

SOUTH BEND – Thomas Coley, chancellor of Ivy Tech Community College’s North Central Region, announced recently that Randy Maxson has been appointed executive director of Institutional Effectiveness. Maxson currently serves as the Ivy Tech Warsaw campus vice chancellor/dean. As the executive director of Institutional Effectiveness, Maxson will report directly to the chancellor. He will be responsible for the planning, development, administration, supervision and evaluation of the North Central Region’s professional development, enrollment tracking and institutional effectiveness processes. He also will provide leadership in the functional areas of institutional research, grant management, event planning and professional/organizational development. In his new role, Maxson will be charged to provide leadership that enhances the region’s employee development initiatives; strengthen relationships internal to and between regional functional departments; improve cross-functional teamwork in support of employee development, retention and performance; and establish additional progressive strategies for advancing continuous quality improvement efforts in an environment that promotes and values diversity and recognizes the various needs and services required for a diverse employee population. Maxson’s new appointment will become effective after the appointment of a new Warsaw campus vice chancellor/dean or no later than July 1. A search for a new Warsaw campus vice chancellor/dean will begin in January.
