SOUTH BEND - Maxine N. Stackhouse, 93, of South Bend, died at 1 p.m. Oct. 11, 2009, in Hickory Creek Nursing Home, Rochester.
She was born Nov. 13, 1915, in Atwood, to Lawrence and Elsie Bradway Yarman. On Nov. 13, 1937, in Etna Green, she married Hilbert Stackhouse, who died Aug. 25, 1998.
She moved to South Bend in 1944. She was a member of River Park United Methodist Church, South Bend, and was involved in many church activities through the years.
Surviving are a daughter, Beverly (and spouse Michael) Fulnecky, South Bend; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, South Bend, with the Rev. Tom Thews officiating. A graveside service and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
