OSCEOLA – Maxine L. Duff, 89, Osceola, passed away Jan. 3, 2015, at the Elkhart Hospice House. She was born April 18, 1925, in Warsaw, to Russell and Bertha Shoemaker. She was formerly employed at Kenders in Elkhart, retiring in 1988. She most recently was a homemaker, who enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Surviving are three children: Jacquelyn (and spouse Greg) Wing, Osceola; David (and spouse Joan) Duff, Plymouth; Danny (and spouse Ann) Duff, Tippecanoe; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and four sisters: Carol Jankowski, Crown Point; Kay Decent and Delta Hall, both of Bourbon; and Linda (and spouse Ron) Decent, Crosby, Minn. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home, Osceola, with Pastor Tracy Forbes, Cedar Road Missionary Church, officiating.
