Maxine E. Johnson, age 98, of Warsaw, passed away on Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, at 10:10 p.m. in Warsaw.
Maxine was born on Nov. 25, 1921, in Fort Wayne, to Russel and Ruth Stuckey Rhoades. She was united in marriage to Bob Guy Johnson on July 9, 1941, in Fort Wayne.
During her life, she was a homemaker as well as a member of the North Winona Church of the Brethren, Warsaw. Maxine was an avid animal lover. She loved her family dearly.
Maxine is survived by her children: Randall Johnson, of Warsaw; Rita (Bill) Irwin, of Warsaw; Mona (Bill) Pifer, of Warsaw; and Diedre Lehmann, of Fort Wayne; grandchildren: Martin (Allison) Lehmann; Tim (Pam) Vanderlinden; Joe (Amy) Irwin; and Dustin Pifer; great-grandchildren: Hollie (Landon) Hawks; Jodie (Aaron) Gingerich; Jacob (Andrea) Semonis; Ashley Irwin; Gavin (Allison) Lehmann; Grant (Haley) Lehmann; Gracie Lehmann; and Gwenna Lehmann; and great-great-grandchildren: Beckham Hawks and Ariana Lehmann. She was preceded in death by her husband and four brothers.
The funeral service and interment will be private. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is entrusted with all arrangements.
