SYRACUSE – Maxine D. Scott, 88, of Syracuse, died at 5:30 a.m. March 17, 2013, in Warsaw Meadows. She was born June 18, 1924, in Kentland, to Earl and Jessie L. Mowery Simmons. On Sept. 11, 1940, in Markle, she married Wallace T. Scott, who died July 5, 1999. She attended Rock Creek High School, Huntington. She moved to the Syracuse area from Huntington and had also lived in El Cajon, Calif., and Eatonville, Wash. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Barth Manufacturing, Milford. She was a member of Milford Christian Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Ellen Bieber, Pueblo West, Colo., and Carol “Sue” (and spouse Tom) McClintic, Milford; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a sister. Private graveside services will be at Syracuse Cemetery.
