Max Leroy Sittler, 77, died at 11:19 p.m. Oct. 10, 2011.
He was born March 22, 1934, in Wabash County, to Ruth Newt and Ward Sittler.
He married June Cebular, who preceded him in death. He married Vera L. Westerman, who survives.
He worked as a regional manager with United Telephone Co. from 1954 until he retired in 1990. He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion, China Post One VFW and the Korean War Veterans Association.
Also surviving are a son, Jim (and spouse Nancy) Sittler; a sister, Evelyn Wagner, Warsaw; a stepdaughter, Lori Lloyd; two stepsons, Michael and Jonathan Wagner; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lou McGuire and James Sittler.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
