Max Lee Hungerford

ROCHESTER — Max Lee Hungerford, 89, Rochester, passed away at 7:17 a.m. Feb. 7, 2017, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Miramar Beach, Fla.
He was born Dec. 27, 1927, in Clinton, to Leo and Lena Houchin Hungerford.
He served with the U.S. Army for 15 months and was honorably discharged in November 1947. He received the World War II Victory Medal and the Army Occupational Medal in Japan.
On Dec. 23, 1950, he married Joan Murphy. She died Sept. 14, 2014.
A celebration of life service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester.  
Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday in the funeral home. 
Military rites will be conducted by the Fulton County Veterans Honor Guard and the U.S. Army Honor Guard.  Interment will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
