Max Hudson Mollenhour, 88, died at 11:19 a.m. March 14, 2009, in Gulf Coast Hospital, Fort Myers, Fla.

He was born Sept. 18, 1920, in Warsaw, to William K. Sr. and Lucille Hudson Mollenhour. On Feb. 1, 1941, he married Mary Helen Brown, who survives. They were married for 68 years.

He worked at Free Methodist Publishing House for 31 years and managed Warsaw Printing until his retirement in 1986. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge and Rozella Ford Golf Club.

Also surviving are two daughters, Suzanne (and spouse Ed) Huffer, Warsaw, and Janet (and spouse David) Kelley, Spencerville; nine grandchildren: Melanie (and spouse Chad) Wilhite and Beth (and spouse Chris) Cummins, all of Warsaw; Kelly (and spouse Earle) Hanlin, Leesburg; Christopher (and spouse Marie) Kelley, Leo; Greg Kelley, Oakland, Calif.; Jody (and spouse Erik) Linnemeier, Franklin; James (and spouse Julie) Kelley, Grabill; Megan (and spouse Tony) Reynolds, Fort Wayne; and Lindsey Kelley, Spencerville; 18 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, William K. Mollenhour Jr. and Donald Jack Mollenhour.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be at a later date.
