SYRACUSE - Max E. Thomas, 78, of North Webster, died at 11:26 p.m. March 21, 2008, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born April 22, 1929, in Kosciusko County, to Albert and Edna Hissong Thomas. On March 28, 1948, he married Jeanette N. Lamprecht, who died Feb. 2, 1991.
A lifetime area resident, he was a member of the Kosciusko County Saddle Club and a former 4-H leader.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary (and spouse Randy) Moorman, North Webster; a son, Daryl Thomas, North Webster; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse, with the Rev. Richard LePage officiating. Burial will be in Leesburg Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
