Matthew W. Neises, 85, Syracuse, died Sept. 15, 2026, at Goshen Hospital.
He was born Oct. 1, 1940, in Chicago.
Matthew served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965. On July 29, 1967, he married Virginia Martin in Chicago; she survives.
Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 21 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Titus Funeral Home, Syracuse. Catholic Mass will be Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 11 a.m. at Saint Martin de Porres Church, Syracuse. Burial will follow at Syracuse Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Matthew's honor to the Ronald McDonald House, 1001 8th Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76104 in honor of Austin Chaney.
