Matthew James BaileyMatthew James Bailey, 53, originally of Warsaw, passed away after a brief illness April 3, 2022, at UC San Diego Medical Center in San Diego, Calif.
Matthew was born Feb. 7, 1969, in Warsaw, to Wintford and Leona Lee Bailey. Matthew was a graduate of Warsaw Community High School in 1988. He was in the U.S. Navy from 2004-09. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science. He was a manager for more than a decade in Muncie with Kerasotes Cinema. He resided in San Diego, Calif., for 18 years.
Matthew was a Christian and loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Matthew is survived by two sisters: Thyrza (Charles) Boring Jr., of Warsaw; Marlene Bailey, of Pierceton; one brother, Elam Bailey, of Winona Lake; and many nieces, nephews and many great-nephews and great-nieces; and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Juanita Wooten; and two brothers: Joey Joseph Bailey and William W. Bailey.
Burial will be at 1 p.m. May 20 at Oakwood Cemetery.
