Maryon L. Titus, 85, passed away at 8:10 a.m. Jan. 3, 2013, in Mason’s Health & Rehabilitation, Warsaw.
She was born Dec. 21, 1928, in Warsaw, to Harry L. and Martha M. White Circle. On July 6, 1947, in Warsaw, she married Ned C. Titus, who died June 12, 2003.
She was a lifetime resident of Warsaw, and a 1947 graduate of Warsaw High School. She was former owner/operator with her husband, Ned, of Titus Funeral Home for nearly 40 years, retiring in 1993. She was a faithful life member of First Baptist Church of Warsaw where she sang in the choir, directed the junior choir, belonged to the church circles and served on the missionary committee. She was a past president of Delta Theta Tau Sorority; was a Rainbow Mom; past Worthy Matron of Order of Eastern Star; member of the DAR and Tuesday Night Drama Club.
Surviving are a son, Jerry L. (and spouse Kathy) Titus, Warsaw; two grandchildren, Mitch (and spouse Jody) Titus, and Amber (and spouse Kevin) Gelbaugh, both of Warsaw; four great-grandchildren: Shashawna Titus, Huntington; Garrett Titus, Emma Gelbaugh and Mallory Bowers, all of Warsaw; and daughter-in-law Carol Nagel, Ashville, N.C. She was also preceded in death by a son, David M. Titus, who died Nov. 12, 1993.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Steve Peters, First Baptist Church of Warsaw, officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
