SYRACUSE - Mary Ruth Cousins Meyers, 71, of Dewart Lake, Syracuse, died at 3:15 a.m. May 19, 2007, in Goshen General Hospital.
She was born April 19, 1936, in Hillsdale County, Mich., to James and Ruth Harmon Cousins. On July 27, 1957, she married William Meyers, who survives.
Moving to the area from Columbia City, she was a homemaker and a former telephone operator in Columbia City and Syracuse. She attended Michigan State University.
Also surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Dave (Natalie) Munn, Fremont, Calif.; Emily Meyers, Santa Monica, Calif.; and Mrs. John (Anna) Monaghan, Mt. Clemens, Mich.; five grandchildren; four sisters: Mrs. Jim (Eloise) Lewis, Eva Carpenter, Mrs. Norman (Martha) Brooks and Kay Brown; and a brother, Fred Cousins. She was preceded in death by two sisters.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse, with Pastor Brad Cox officiating. Burial will be in McClintic Cemetery, Syracuse.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
