Mary Marie Lewis Wright, 86, known to all as just Mary, passed away at 6:42 a.m. Nov. 2, 2015, at Grace Village Health Care.
She was born May 11, 1929, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to George W. and Maggie Hunt Lewis. On Jan. 10, 1949, she was married to the love of her life, Charlie Wright, who passed away April 1, 1995, 20 years, seven months and one day before her.
She was a resident of Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake. She resided with her husband in West Prestonsburg, Ky., and worked as a licensed practical nurse until moving to Warsaw in 1960. She worked at Owens Illinois (Kimble Glass), Warsaw, until her retirement in 1986. She was a member of Cooks Chapel Church, Warsaw, loved to collect antiques and was fond of garage sales, auctions and meeting people. She was an avid reader, and loved to grow flowers and garden.
She will be lovingly remembered by a son, Charles (and spouse Melva) Wright, Winona Lake; two daughters, Pat (and spouse Bryon) Slater, Hermosa Beach, Calif., and Tammy Gettinger, Columbia City; five grandchildren: Tim (and spouse Brandi) Wright, Winona Lake; Catherine Slater, Boston, Mass.; Mary (and spouse Chris) Jones, Houston, Texas; Nicole Woodard, Columbia City; and Abigale Gettinger, West Lafayette; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by her parents;  four brothers: Harold, Mack, Joe and Rudolf Lewis; and five sisters: Callie Lewis, Myrtle Knisley, Vannie Mae Rickman, Amma Jackson and Bonnie Spears.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor William Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
Calling is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
