Mary Louise Yates, 71, of Warsaw, died at 1:30 a.m. June 7, 2009, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

She was born Sept. 16, 1937, in Bonanza, Ky., to Adam and Hulda Mead Meade. On Dec. 30, 1955, in Indiana, she married Denvil Yates, who survives.

Living in Indiana since the early 1950s, she worked at Creighton Brothers and was a member of God's Highway to Heaven Church.

Also surviving are four daughters: Alicia Jean (and spouse Melvin) Miller, Pierceton; Kattie Ann (and spouse John) Amburgy and Charlene (and spouse Jerry) Wogoman, all of Rochester; and Carolyn (and spouse Arnold) Shepherd, Warsaw; a son, Arthur (and spouse Lorene) Yates, Warsaw; a brother, Bennie Meade, Palestine; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, three brothers and a grandchild, Thomas Miller.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at God's Highway to Heaven Church with Pastor Bob Brown officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 2 p.m. Wednesday until the time of service Thursday at the church.

McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
