WOLCOTT - Mary L. Crosby, 83, Wolcott, died at 7:48 p.m. Aug. 27, 2009, in Jasper County Hospital Alterna Care. She had been a resident there since November 2006.
She was born May 31, 1926, in Benton County, to the late Robert and Minnie Anstett McGraw. On Aug. 29, 1946, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Remington, she married John L. "Bing" Crosby, who died Aug. 17, 2000.
She was a homemaker, and also helped her husband on the family farm. She was a longtime member of the Wolcott Christian Church. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, and was very active in 4-H and her church.
Surviving are her children, Luetta A. (and spouse Bill) Nussbaum, Rennselaer; David L. (and spouse Becky) Crosby, Warsaw; and Joy L. (and spouse Tracy) Parsons, Midland, Mich. She loved her grandchildren, Rob, Resa, Jon, Andrea, Lindsay, Megan and Courtney, and her great-grandson, Nolan. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Raymond and Bobby McGraw.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Wolcott Christian Church with the Rev. Brian Nelson officiating. Burial will be at Tippecanoe Memory Garden Cemetery, West Lafayette.
Calling is from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the church.
