BOURBON – Mary Katherine Antonides Hanes passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Century Villa in Greentown.
Mary was born to Russell and Kahte Antonides on April 24, 1944, in Goshen. She graduated from Mentone High School in 1962. She married Larry Hanes and he preceded her in death. She worked at Hart Shaffner and Marx in Rochester, Biomet in Warsaw and Bertsch Vending in Warsaw. She enjoyed her shih tzus and working out in her yard.
Mary is survived by her son, LaVaun Hanes; her daughter, Lanette (Reno) Fye; her brothers, Ed (Nancy) Antonides, Randy Antonides; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Kahte Antonides; her sister, Eldona Jean Beehler; her husband, Larry Hanes; and her great-grandchild, Georgia Grace Muehlhausen.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 5 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with a graveside service immediately following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon.
